Notice to Intending Students

Lincoln University has made the strategic decision to concentrate its future programme portfolio on qualifications at Diploma level and above, and to limit the number of programmes offered via distance delivery (correspondence) from 2017 onwards. 

Consequently, Lincoln University is not proceeding with the development  and registration of the proposed new Certificate in Wool Technology (Level 4) – which was intended to lead to a Diploma in Wool Technology at Level 5.

Arrangements are in place for teaching-out the current Certificate in Wool Technology (Level 4) for students enrolled in this programme.

99WL01 New Zealand wool industry (Level 5, 24 credits)

In this course you will look at the wool industry in New Zealand, wool production systems, wool trading, and the technical services available to the wool industry.

99SP01 Sheep and wool production (Level 4, 36 credits)

In this course you will look at sheep and wool production in New Zealand, farming systems, sheep breeds, animal welfare, livestock production, and genetic and environmental factors that affect wool growth.
