The Halls are made up of several different accommodation blocks:
- McCristell Wing, 20 en suite rooms
- Robertson Wing, 23 Single/Double rooms utilizing communal showers and toilets (Male only)
- McLeod Wing, 9 Single/Double en suite rooms
- Units 1 & 2, 4 Single 2 double rooms utilizing single shower and toilet
- Unit 3, 10 Single rooms utilizing 2 showers and 2 toilets
- Unit 4, 9 Single rooms utilizing 2 showers and 2 toilets
- Units 5 & 6, 0 Single rooms in each unit, utilizing 3 showers and 3 toilets each
Lounges
McCristell, McLeod and all the units have their own lounges, with TV (Free view) DVD players and seating etc.
McCristell, McLeod and units 5 & 6 have small kitchens all with access to hot water, some have microwaves, and tables etc.
At the end of Robertson Wing is a large communal Lounge. This has Sky TV, Pool tables, a canteen and lots of seating. It is used by all residents as a community meeting area.
No Cooking apparatus is permitted in any bedrooms. The kitchens in McCristell, McLeod and units 5 & 6 have facilities for their use.
The 2011 term of residence
The 2011 term of residence period starts on:
10am on the Sunday before the course starts, 31st January 2011.
Please do not arrive earlier than this date as the Halls will not be open and no staff will be there to assist you.
If you cannot arrive during check-in hours of 10am - 8pm, please let us know so that someone is available to meet you and show you to your room.
Large items
When you arrive please let the supervisor know that you need to store Bikes/ Surfboards and other large items. You will be given space in our large storage cupboards as these items can not be kept in your room.
Luggage bags and suitcases etc can also be stored in the cupboards to save space in your room.
You will be asked to complete a Tenancy Agreement, a key issue form and a Car/firearms form (if you have not already done so)
Keys - You will be issued one key for your bedroom. Replacement keys are available from the Supervisors office at a charge of $20.00
Arrival
Quiet time in the Hostel is 10.30!
It is advisable to arrange contents insurance cover for your personal effects.
