Taster week

Most school holidays, we run an event called Taster Week.

Our upcoming Taster weeks are:

Tuesday 3 – Saturday 7 October 2017

Our campus is located six kilometres from Balclutha, South Otago, on a 921ha commercial farm.

Affordable full-time courses, on-site accommodation, relevant theory, excellent practical skills in each course, and great scholarships are available!

Letter of thanks from a parent

“Thank you all so very much for the amazing experience we had and the privilege of embracing for the recent Taster Week. My students are all raving about their experience and I'm enjoying hearing what all their contacts from all over New Zealand are up to also!  The warm welcome we received from the boarding staff was really special,  especially as we were a bit late arriving.  The amazing food was a real highlight for everyone, also the lovely homely atmosphere in the dining area was really special.  The facilities are absolutely outstanding, from the lovely historic buildings to the amazing farm facilities and boarding house!

The tutors were such a  happy supportive team, and obviously each and every student's individual needs are considered. Above all, the technical support from Suzanne and Roy, in interviewing nearly every child on their plans and preparations and needs for the major life decisions they need to make in the next few months and years was beyond any expectations. All this does not just happen, the depth of years of sound supportive teamwork, organisation, trust and sheer hard work is black in white when your whole team is on display like this. Congratulations to you all, I'm sure you know you have something special. But it's a real privilege to see and be involved with.”
