The qualification is designed for individuals who wish to gain employment in the equine industry. On completion of this programme, graduates enter the equine industry in a number of different areas such as racing stables, sporthorse stables, track riding, harness racing, and horse breeding farms. They will be able to work with minimum supervision through a range of activities.

Additional fees: Compulsory Student Services Fee = $120.00.

Entry requirements:

  • Telford Certificate in Equine (Level 3) or equivalent.
  • Those choosing the Sporthorse Industry Strand must have the ability to jump 70 cm (both show jumps and cross country fences) upon course entry.
  • Those choosing the Track Riding Industry Strand must have the ability to jump 50-60 cm (cross country fences) upon course exit.
  • If English is not your first language you will be required to provide evidence of competency, for example an overall IELTS test score of 5.5 overall band score, with 5.5 for reading and writing, and with no individual component less than 5.0.

  • Breeding
